paisleypiper's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- guest host You came to check in on Paisley Piper only to find..... she is still absent from Diaryland. This is Quinn (yes, the mighty) and I am your guest host today. This sort of reminds me of when Johnny Carson used to have guest hosts on the show, and the audience always looked dragged, like "Hey, you mean I waited four hours in line for this?" Fortunately it is only a temporary absence, due to her having an impossibly difficult life right at the moment. I can assure you that she would much rather be updating her journal than: planning and coordinating and cleaning up from an open house for work, studying for and taking an essay test in the dreaded Milton class, having a medical test, attending a stack of big meetings.... dodging the neighborhood group badgering her for letters and addresses, and the local nutrition nut who makes her stand on the front walk with her arms full and listen to a lecture on vitamin B6.... and waking up every morning only to see the leaning tower of notebooks still looming large over our lives. All of which is going on this week. So I am doing my best to make things easier. One of the things that Piper is famous for is the ability to find an "At least..." almost anywhere. It is a good talent to have. So today, I will throw in a couple: At least it is raining. For the first time in weeks, it rained hard enough to clean the dust off the world, to stop the construction and bring out the umbrellas. We love rain. At least most of this stuff is only temporary.
