paisleypiper's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- return again again Epilogue I am grading, grading, grading stacks of final portfolios from introduction to academic prose. Ahh, the dreaded freshman composition where all high school writing champs learn that they have a new field to master and those with post high school writing trauma get a new chance. I am intrigued by how much better the students who did not like to write did than those who told me the first day that they didn't need the class. Was I not as fair as I thought I was in grading? I try to be fair and to not pay attention to the writer, just the paper and what the paper is saying (or not). I have missed DiaryLand and decided to return after a hiatus of nine years. How is it different than a blog? Why does it feel different than a blog?
